When the summer sun shines from the sky and the day calls for refreshment, we have a very special excursion tip for us: the Rehbachklamm in Scheffau.
An ideal destination for families, nature lovers and anyone looking for the shade, water and peace of the mountains on hot days.

Water, forest & adventure – the path through the gorge
It starts in Scheffau, just a few minutes by car from the granary. Or – even better – directly with the free one Imperial jet, whose stop is just 50 meters from our granary.

The path initially leads comfortably along the village street before turning right into the Rehbachklamm turns. From here the little nature adventure begins: A narrow, well-secured path winds along the rushing water. Over small bridges and footbridges, past moss-covered rocks, through shady forests.
Particularly exciting: an old one awaits in the second section Studs, which you can enter and explore – a real highlight for children (and curious adults).
Panoramic views & hut happiness on the Hinterschiesling Alm
At the exit of the gorge - the so-called Gatterl – the view suddenly opens up: it rises majestically Wild Emperors into the sky. And just a few minutes later it is Hinterschiesling Alm achieved.
Not only welcome you here Alpacas and Angus cattle, but also real Tyrolean hospitality.
Whether savory Snack, fresh bread with bacon and cheese or a piece of homemade cake - a rest on the mountain pasture is the perfect end to this refreshing climb.

Hike as you please
The Rehbachklamm is ideal for families with children – but also for those who like to continue hiking.
If you want, you can extend the tour - for example Kaiser Alm or about the Wegscheid Niederalm back to the valley. The paths are well signposted, varied and offer something for every condition.
Magdalena or I would be happy to give you personal tips - depending on how keen you are to hike.
Imperial jet, nature conservation & a bit of gratitude
A special plus: The Wilder Kaiser region can be without a car wonderful to explore. With that Imperial jet, which connects Söll, Scheffau, Ellmau and Going, you can reach your destination comfortably and in a climate-friendly way - there are stops almost directly at the granary.
And because that Kaiser Mountains Since it has been protected since 1963, we ask you to be careful with this special landscape. It is our home – and a gift for all of us.

You can find all tours around the region here free tour guide of the TVB Wilder Kaiser – you can get it from us at reception. And if you want to know exactly: just ask us – we are always happy to share our favorite places.
Our conclusion:
The Rehbachklamm is perfect for hot days – cool, green, refreshing and full of little adventures. And at the end there is an imperial view that you won't soon forget.
Give it a try – we look forward to hearing your stories afterwards.
